Congratulations!
We are delighted to hear you want to have a Wedding/Holy Union or Commitment Ceremony at First Metropolitan Community Church of Atlanta.
First Metropolitan Community Church of Atlanta and the ordained Ministerial staff perform over 150 Wedding/Holy Unions each year. We are the premier location for Holy Unions/Commitment Ceremonies and have been performing them for 34 years.
Here is some helpful information along with some simple steps to prepare for your special day.
- Set your date.
- Decide how large is the guest list- 10 guests, 40 guests, 100 guests etc.
- Will you want to rent the large sanctuary seating up to 300 or the small chapel seating 25? Or will your ceremony be off site?
- Will you want to rent our social hall for your reception?
- Will you require the services of one of our ministers to perform the ceremony?
- Will you want to have a rehearsal the night before your event?
After you have answered the above questions call the church officeat 404-325-4143
and speak with the pastor. The office is open Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 to 4:00 PM, Closed on Mondays. He can confirm the availability of the rooms you are requesting and if there is an ordained minister available to perform your ceremony.
It’s always best if you have a second choice ready for your special day.
At that time set up an appointment with the Pastor where you will:
- Go over and sign a building Use agreement
- Pay deposits on rental of the building and minister’s service fees
- Plan your special day and the details of your ceremony.
At the Meeting with the Pastor come prepared to place deposits.
Please note that all building rentals and Minister’s services are first come first serve and the facilities and Minister’s services are only secured with non-refundable deposits.
If you change your date all deposits are not refunded.
First MCC does book up early in peek seasons so call ahead to secure your date and the services of an ordained clergy.
